Our Story

Where It All Started

Back in 2008, two friends stood on this very mountainside with nothing but a dream and a whole lot of coffee. Today, we're still brewing that same passion into every guest experience.

A Place Born from Two Worlds

Here's the thing - we didn't want to build just another fancy hotel. Whistler's got plenty of those. We wanted something that felt like coming home after an epic day on the slopes, but with the kind of service that makes you feel like you're somebody special.

The name? Yeah, it's a mouthful. Xandral comes from ancient words meaning 'sanctuary' and Quintharis... well, that's from my grandmother's old family estate in Europe. She'd spend winters in the mountains and summers by the sea, and she taught us that luxury isn't about being stuffy - it's about feeling free.

Our Philosophy

What We Actually Believe In

No Cookie-Cutter Experiences

Look, we get it - you're not the same as the guest in the next suite. Maybe you're here to crush black diamond runs, or maybe you just wanna hide from your inbox for a week. Either way, we're not gonna force some rigid schedule on you. Our concierge team's pretty much mind readers at this point.

Real Mountain Culture

We're not trying to pretend we're in Monaco. This is Whistler, and we love that. Our staff actually lives here - they're the ones who'll tell you which trail's got fresh powder, where locals grab breakfast, and which summit view'll make you forget your phone exists. That kind of knowledge can't be faked.

Wellness Without the Weird

Our spa's legit - no crystals required. Just skilled therapists who know exactly where you're holding tension after a day of adventure. We've got traditional treatments and some creative stuff too, but nothing that'll make you roll your eyes. Plus, the hot tubs overlook the mountains, which honestly does more for your soul than any chanting session.

Food That Actually Matters

Our chef's kinda obsessed with local ingredients - in a good way. She'll drive two hours to get specific mushrooms from a forager she trusts. The menu changes with what's actually in season, and yeah, sometimes that means your favorite dish isn't available year-round. But trust us, what's on your plate right now is probably even better.

The Team Behind the Magic

We've got 87 people working here, and honestly? They're the reason guests come back. There's Maria at the front desk who remembers everyone's coffee order. James, our adventure guide, who's been exploring these mountains for 20 years and somehow never runs out of stories. Chef Elise and her kitchen crew who start prepping at 5 AM because they refuse to serve anything that's not perfect.

Most of our staff's been with us for years. That's not by accident - we pay well, treat people right, and actually listen when they've got ideas. Turns out when you take care of your team, they take care of your guests. Revolutionary concept, right?

Still Growing, Still Learning

We're not perfect, and we're not done. Last year we added solar panels. This year we're working on zero-waste kitchens. We're constantly asking guests what we can do better, and actually implementing their feedback. Because at the end of the day, this place exists for you - not the other way around.

The Numbers (Because Someone Always Asks)

We've been doing this for 15 years now. Started with 24 suites, now we've got 48. Our spa offers 17 different treatments. The restaurant seats 65 people but feels intimate. We've hosted over 200 weddings, countless conferences, and more anniversary trips than we can count. But honestly? Those numbers don't tell you much about what it's actually like to stay here.
